Use Your Block Heater

Starting a cold engine creates unnecessary strain on your car’s engine. Thankfully, block heaters are standard on vehicles sold in Alberta. When the temperature drops below -15 C, plug in your block heater cord to ensure the engine stays warm. Test your block heater in the fall and make sure it doesn’t have any cracks or tears. A block heater tester also makes sure your outlet, power cord, and block heater are all working properly.
