Should I take the online program only?

You can; however, a passing grade of 80% for the online program as well as 75% in vehicle must be achieved in order for you to receive your Notice of Driver Education Course Completion Certificate from Alberta Transportation that will qualify you for your insurance discount. If you’re not able to take your in-vehicle with us, then we will provide you with a record of completion for the classroom portion that you will need to share with the other driving school you select.

Which program is right for me?

The program that is right for you depends on how much practice behind the wheel you have. Our Ultimate Program offers 20 hours of in-vehicle instruction and is for new drivers who have little to no practice behind the wheel or access to a parent/coach. Our Premium Program offers 14 hours of in-vehicle lessons and caters to drivers who have some experience driving, but still requires a little more practice. Finally, we have our Basic Program with 10 hours of in-vehicle and is recommended for students with lots of experience and access to a parent/coach. For more info, check out this page.

How are my in vehicle sessions booked?

An in-vehicle instructor will call you within two weeks of your registration to set up your schedule. In-vehicle lessons are booked in two-hour sessions, usually once or twice a week to ensure students have time to practice  between lessons. Your instructor will work with you to provide a schedule that works for you.

When will my in-vehicle instructor contact me?

Students can expect to hear from an in-vehicle instructor within two weeks of registering to set up their driving schedule.

What are your in-vehicle hours of operation?

In-vehicle hours of operation generally fall between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m., but may vary somewhat by location depending on the individual instructors delivering training in the area.

What are your current in-vehicle wait times?

In-vehicle wait times vary due to seasonal demand. The summer months can be very busy. Planning well ahead can ensure you get the times you want. To find out about the current wait times in your area, call 1-833-374-8733.

Should I choose standard or automatic transmission?

If you want to take your in-vehicle lessons driving a manual transmission, please be aware that this option does have a longer wait time as we have a limited number of manual transmission instructors. We don’t recommend this option to students who don’t have a manual transmission vehicle to practice on.

How do I become an AMA member and save $80 on the cost of registration?

An AMA membership is not required to sign up, but it will save you $80 on the cost of registration. Join today for all of the benefits of an AMA membership.

Is my payment data secure?
