Online New Driver General FAQs

Which browsers do you recommend?

We’ve tested all the browsers to determine which would deliver the best user experience. Chrome was definitely the front runner.
Here’s a list of the browsers in recommended order:

  • Chrome (free download)
  • Internet Explorer 10 and newer
  • Firefox
  • Safari 6 for OS x 10.7 later

How long do I have to finish my program?

You have 60 days from when you pay for your program. Just remember that this is for the online program only. Your in-vehicle lessons may happen outside of these 60 days.

What happens if my program expires?

Self-directed learning tends to move at a different pace than learning in a traditional classroom setting , which is why you have 60 days to complete the course. But, we understand that sometimes life gets in the way and this just may not be possible. If the 60 days comes and goes and you still haven’t completed your online program, there will be a $50 online administration fee (plus GST) to get a 14-day extension. Do I need to finish my in-vehicle session within the 60 days?

Nope, the 60 days is only for your online program. Your in-vehicle lessons can happen outside of the 60 days, depending on our availability.
