How To Check Your Vehicle's Fluid Levels

Your vehicle needs certain fluids to keep running smoothly. Low fluid levels can point to a bigger problem, like a leak in the system.

How to Check Your Vehicle’s Fluid Levels: Step-by-step

  1. Park your vehicle on level ground.
  2. Pop the hood.
  3. Take a flashlight and look at the reservoirs.
  4. Check the fluid level against the minimum and maximum marks on the reservoir.
  5. You can top up your windshield washer fluid. If other fluids are low, that might mean a bigger problem that a repair shop should fix.
