Every time Lynette Mueller pulls out her AMA card a little smile crosses her face. In the past 18 months, she’s saved more than $300 using her card at AMA Rewards partners across Alberta. “Why wouldn’t you use it and save money whenever you can?” she asks.
This summer, she chilled out with ice cream from Marble Slab Creamery. Her favourite flavour? Anything with chocolate, which is a good thing because there’s a lot to choose from – chocolate banana, chocolate mint, chocolate peanut butter, to name a few.
That little card carried its weight this spring when the pair tied the knot. They saved on table rentals using AMARewards partner Special Event Rentals, and saved a bundle on wedding albums through Picaboo. Another smart move Mueller makes is using her AMA card when travelling. A couple times a month in the winter, this avid skier hits the slopes, while saving on fuel, ski passes and hotel stays at Best Western and Fairmont hotels.
Even when she’s not on the road, she’s saving money, as she did last Christmas when she picked up gifts at The Body Shop through the AMA eStore. “At four times the savings during Black Friday, it was too good an offer to turn down. The savings were pretty much the same as what I spent on my purchase,” says Mueller, who earned forty eight per cent back in reward dollars. “That card pays for itself.”
